is twice per week for those

one Personal Training session and one unsupervised session.

Designed by Genesis

specifically for the over 70's. You will be looked after by a

trainer every session, and will find the group made up of people of similar age and fitness ability.
One month twice per week

Twice per week with a trainer for eight weeks.

Included will be a thorough
assessment and a consultation with a physiotherapist.

Short Courses

Our speciality is for caring for beginners new to exercise and those with specific medical conditions. Our short courses are specifically designed to help you settle into an exercise routine with a short term achievable goal. The courses range from our most popular beginners course, the "Couch Potato Breakout" programme (this 8 week course leads you in gently to exercise with twice weekly full supervised sessions) to our Nutrition and fitness programme where we help you combine healthy eating with regular exercise (this 12 week programme can be done in 2, 6 week blocks including 3 exercise sessions and a nutritional "eat well feel fab" session each week.

Membership

If you know you want to commit to regular exercise, set longer term goals and want the convenience of popping in when ever you want to then our membership offers you the best deal. Like many other gyms we offer the convenience of an ongoing monthly membership, however, unlike other gyms, we combine personal training at a very reasonable rate as part of your membership package. We recognise the immense value of ongoing personalised support and our 1 hour sessions are designed to encourage and motivate you irrespective of age or fitness level. The 5 levels of membership that we offer shows our understanding of different peoples' needs. It offers variety in their programming, technique, advice and lots of encouragement and motivation.

All packages offer unlimited gym visits and you can choose from

Memberships are through standing orders or get a month free by paying a year in advance

SYSTEMS

All of our systems allow for initial assessment of current fitness/health and a personalised programme makeover once a month along with 1 on 1 with a personal trainer for one hour each month.  Being a member of the club means you can access the facilities at all times and involves making a monthly financial commitment although you are not tied in to any sort of contract. You can pay for a year in advance and get a month free!

Quarterly Support - £40/month
If you know your way around the equipment, then this package is for you – personal trainer once every three months.
System II Monthly Support - £45/month
This is a popular choice with a personalised programme makeover once a month.
System II+ Fortnightly Support - £65/month
If you're really beginning to get into the swing of regular fitness, then two sessions a month with a Personal Trainer is for you.
System III Weekly Support - £90/month
Probably our best package if you've made fitness a part of your life & you are committed, see us one-on-one every week.
System Total Total Support - £160/month
If you've got the money, then do it! Undoubtedly an unbeatable way to get fit with 2 Personal Training sessions per week!

Couch Potato Breakout Programme

This is an eight-week Programme which will lead you gently into exercise with twice-weekly fully supervised sessions.

The course starts with a fitness consultation and assessment of your current position. Nothing to be scared of and we only take measurements if you want to but it does give us a baseline with which to
work. We work with you to establish short and long term goals and set about creating a programme
to achieve them.

VISITS TO GYM - Twice per week for eight weeks

SUPPORT - Each visit booked in with a trainer for supervised sessions
A timetable is available see below with a range of session times to enable you to be flexible around other commitments. The trainer will work with everyone in the group booked into that session although each person will be following their own programme and have their own goals. The course has a rolling start so you can give us a call and get going whenever you are ready.

COST - £140.00

If life is too hectic with never a moment to do anything for yourself, let alone exercise, then this eight-week course leads you gently into regular exercise with twice weekly, fully-supervised sessions. Couch Potato Breakout focuses on developing strength & endurance gradually. Suitable for adults of all ages. If you've not exercised for over six months, then this course is for you!

Eat Well and Exercise

Eat Well and Exercise is our new short term programme designed to help you manage your weight, become fitter and be able to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

The programme runs over 8 weeks with 3 Supervised sessions each week, one of which could be a class.  Also includes healthy eating advice, access to our Lifestyle Coordinator and a weekly weight assessment.

Nutrition Plus

Designed for those who would like a complete overhaul of their eating habits and specialist nutritional advice.

The programme runs over 8 weeks with 3 supervised sessions each week, one of which could be a class. You'll have a written fitness programme put in place for you by one of our trainers, specific to your needs. This programme also includes an initial assessment with our Registered Dietitian and Sports Nutritionist, Renee McGregor and 8 weeks of email support from herself.

The Road to Wellness Programme

The course starts with a fitness consultation and assessment of your current position. Nothing to be scared of and we only take measurements if you want to but it does give us a baseline with which to
work. We work with you to establish short and long term goals and set about creating a programme
to achieve them.

VISITS TO GYM - Twice per week for ten weeks

SUPPORT - One supervised then one unsupervised each week
A timetable is available see below with a range of session times to enable you to be flexible around other commitments. The trainer will work with everyone in the group booked into that session although each person will be following their own programme and have their own goals. The course has a rolling start so you can give us a call and get going whenever you are ready.

COST - £150.00

This ten-week course is ideal for those who need and want to make exercise a habit an on-going way of life. Perhaps your body is telling you that it's time for serious action! Including supervised workout once weekly & second unsupervised workout in your own time. With the support and motivation of Genesis, we'll put you back on the road to wellness. Getting you ready to go on your own this is a good follow on from the couch potato course.

This ten-week course is ideal for those who need and want to make exercise a habit an on-going way of life. Perhaps your body is telling you that it's time for serious action! Including 1-2-1 workout with a trainer once a week & second unsupervised workout in your own time. With the support and motivation of Genesis, we'll put you back on the road to wellness. Getting you ready to go on your own this is a good follow on from the couch potato course.

Seventy Plus Programme

Designed by Genesis specifically for the over 70’s. You will be looked after by a trainer every session, and will find the group made up of people of similar age and fitness ability. One month twice per week.

work. We work with you to establish short and long term goals and set about creating a programme

SUPPORT - Each visit booked in with a trainer for supervised sessions

COST - £55.00

If life is too hectic with never a moment to do anything for yourself, let alone exercise, this 4 week course is for you and leads you gently into regular exercise with twice weekly, fully supervised group sessions. This course is designed specifically for the over 55's. Whether you are new to exercise, or just wanting to top up your fitness levels, Genesis offers you all the support & advice you need to keep you fit and active into your retirement.

Physio Plus Programme  

Twice per week with a trainer for eight weeks. Included will be a thorough assessment and a consultation with a physiotherapist.

Our automated lifestyle has led to 80% of adults developing back pain or injury at some point in their lives. If this applies to you, the Physio Plus Course can help to relieve suffering. All injuries are different, this eight-week programme incorporating two sessions per week is designed specifically for you. Focussing on building up and strengthening the area in question, as well as working on general fitness. This course can be developed in consultation with your physiotherapist or doctor, and includes an initial session with our in-house physio.
